Kevin Bray is an award-winning freelance consultant who supports the creation of inclusive and affirming learning environments. He was a secondary educator for many years and spent the latter part of his education career working as a consultant promoting awareness and understanding about gender and sexual diversity, racism, poverty and classism, and mental health.
Since then, he has co-authored a resource entitled Affirming Gender Diversity for the Canadian Teachers Federation and has been an equity and inclusion consultant/facilitator in various educational and community settings in Ontario.
He is a knowledgeable advocate who has developed and led initiatives to establish environments that support diversity using an anti-oppressive and intersectional framework. He is deeply committed to inclusive education and to establishing safe, respectful and welcoming learning spaces. His authentic and empathetic understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized youth, families and employees and his unwavering commitment to transformative learning settings make him an effective and engaging facilitator.
